Hello to all. Here we go. What’s new? Well, for me, I played in the gallery on Saturday and everything went well. But, there’s something missing. It’s my creativity. I am realizing I love to play the violin, but I’m always playing pieces written by someone else. Is it possible that what I am feeling is my own absence of creativity in what I am doing? Perhaps.

If you have been reading my blog, you are aware that I consider myself a multi-talented individual, in that I love different mediums of expression: music and visual art. Well, within my expression through music, some of you know I also have been writing songs for a number of years, ever since I was in college.

My current thought is to find a way to get my songwriting skills to an audience. I have released music on digital platforms, but that is not enough. I am currently thinking of purchasing the equipment necessary to start a live production of my song-writing material. It will be under the pseudonym “Treasureblaze”.

This idea is in the very early stages, but I know I have the gift of song-writing and am excited to sit down and put together a set of music for the public. I’m not trying to be a super-star, but who knows, maybe I will at least be able to play on the weekends in local bars and restaurants. Something like that would be a lot of fun for me and rewarding.

So, wish me luck!!! Will keep you posted on the development of this idea. It will be a while until I can say I have a show somewhere. But, it could happen!!!

I know many of you might be thinking, okay, what will Travis come up with next? And I can say that many of my dreams have fallen through, but I haven’t stopped. I continue to journal and think of new ways of expressing who/what I am.

I can say, I am tired of waiting for others to step up. So, Treasureblaze is my way of saying, “I’m here, now matter what, you will see me, here I am.” I don’t need to rely on the aptitude of other individuals if I just get out there and do my thing.

Does this mean I’m done playing the violin and viola? No!!! But it does mean I am pursuing a new way of expressing myself. Amen. And, I’m taking it seriously, as in, it matters to me.
