Hello Everyone. How are you? I am doing so well these days. Amen. Thanks be to the higher power. Amen.
That said, I wanted to share with you an amazing story that just happened in my life.
Last Friday, 8/22/25, I rejoined the Art on Postoffice in Galveston as an artist member. It was awesome. They worked with my situation, which wasn’t too much for them to handle, and I was able to hang my art that very day. Amen.
Well, the very next afternoon, on Saturday (8/23/25), I sold my very first large piece for AOP (Art on Postoffice). Now, I have sold larger commissions, but not at full price. Amen. This was the first full price large piece (or “Monster”, as I call them) I have ever sold. And guess what, it was a collector. Amen!!!
The story goes, I was playing on Saturday in AOP, and a man came up to me and told me I sounded great. I thanked him. Next he walked over to the salesperson and told her, at which time she mentioned that I also had some artwork up in the gallery. He selected a piece from the seven pieces I had hung the day before. He chose a piece called “Prophet”.
I was so surprised and over the moon. He had no idea what he did for me, or maybe he did, I don’t know. It was magical, and I stayed in a state of elation for the rest of the day.
What does it mean? Well, I can say I am an artist and a musician now. My feeling is, after this collector bought my work at full price, that I can continue to sell to those that love my art. Amen. And I can see that people do. Which is a blessing of a gift. Amen.
I have said that I will make art four days a week, and play at the gallery five days a week. I enjoy both mediums equally. Amen.
I am hoping to move out of my parent’s place before Christmas this year! Amen!!! I can’t say that enough!
It may not be pretty, but I’ll have my own place. Haha. Amen.
A place to make art and practice violin and viola. Amen. Done. True.
