Here and NOw…
Hello everyone. Thank you for coming to my blog page and taking the time to listen and read what I have to say about my life and life in general. Thank you. Amen.
Today I am just filling you in with what I’ve been up to recently and letting you know about my expansion plans for my art and music. Amen.
Lately I have been up to the usual. I am still playing for the gallery in Galveston, AOP Gallery on Postoffice St. I love it there. They recently were nice enough to let me hang my artwork there for free for now, I think because I play my violin for them for free. Anyway, works for me. Haha!
I have continued making art and am finishing up a piece called “Pronto”. It is a cool piece and I will post a picture of it on Facebook when it is complete. Oil on canvas. Amen.
I have also continued to work on some pieces in my old style of art using Sharpie markers on paper. They are the “Big” size, 18 × 24. Am excited to be working on them towards their completion.
Also, I have made a decision to sell my artwork and art cards online via Ebay and Facebook Marketplace. They will be more affordable than ever, so keep an eye out for a link to be posted on Facebook, perhaps. Amen. I’m excited about this decision. Yesterday I took some photos of some pieces I have done in preparation of putting them online. Once again, very excited.
Ah, additionally, violin practice is going very well. I have started to play mainly violin for the gallery. Although, I love me some viola at times, too. Haha. I plan on playing more for people in concert settings one day, possibly just solo recitals from time to time. Amen. That would be a nice accompaniment (no pun intended, haha) to having a full studio of students. Amen. That is all part of my dream of one day living in Houston again. It may take a while to get there, and perhaps it’s better that way.
I have thought that my next move will be to live in an RV. This will help me save money and could be fun to have a little pad like that. I would probably get one to live near my parents so I can be close by if they need anything. Amen. This is not a serious pursuit at this point, but may turn into something. Amen. Will keep you posted. Thanks.
Anything else?
Ah, I have been writing recently. I have also decided to read a book containing the Constitution of the United States of America and selected writings of the founding fathers. It is interesting and I’m mainly doing it so that I can become more informed of our nation’s political history. Also, I am taking notes while reading it in case anything comes up that needs to be “talked about.” There has been a few instances of this already. Anyway, just thought you should know.
Ah, also, writing from books can bring up some really cool realizations, I have learned. These types of written realizations that expound on something already published can form a nice addition to my “selected writings” section of the book I hope to eventually publish. That’s right, I hope to publish a book one day. It will have my autobiography, selected writings from my journal, art and more, perhaps. I’m very excited about this ongoing project and love working on it when they time is right.
Anything else?
Perhaps more about my decision to put my art online in the way mentioned above. It sounds like a good idea for men to earn some cash, since I haven’t been doing much of that recently. Anyway, I will post some links on Facebook when they are available. I hope you will find some time to check out what I put in the online stores. They will be affordable and originals. Could be a nice investment! Amen.
Should mention, if any of you or someone you know is looking for a teacher in the Galveston/Houston area, let me know. I am going to students’ houses currently to teach them in their own settings, mainly because I do not currently have a studio space. Anyway, if you hear of someone wanting to take violin, give them my name and the link to this website and they can contact me that way. Thank you.
Also, if you are interested in an art commission and like my style of abstract art, let me know and we can talk about some ideas. I’m very affordable and love to do commissions. Share that as well if you would like. Thanks!
Lastly, violin practice is going really well. As mentioned, I am focusing more and more on progressing with the instrument. Come by and hear me play at AOP in Galveston when you have a chance. Just let me know you’re coming and I will go there and play for you. Amen.
With that, Peace and Love,
Travis Galbraith
