The Latest…

Hello Everyone. I hope this entry finds you well and happy. I am doing exceedingly well this morning. Amen. Thanks be to the powers that be. Amen.

Ah, wanted to fill you in on where I am with things today.

Violin is going very well and I have played seven of the last eight days at the gallery I play for in Galveston, TX. One of those days sticks out as the best playing experience I have ever had, and it was on the violin. I had a blast that day, not that the other days were bad, because they were good too, but that particular day was something special. Amen.

That said, I am continuing with the violin and viola, with added emphasis on mastering the violin.

Had a thought over a week ago that returned this morning which was to possibly be a concertmaster of a local orchestra in the future. This could be a recurring thought until it actually happens, if it ever does. But, as my playing is going as well as it is, I could envision something like that happening. Amen.

On the other hand, I have also thought about an idea of having a chamber ensemble, or perhaps just myself as soloist, for a recurring concert series in Galveston or Houston. Amen.

This is something I have thought about more than once. Amen. Many times actually. You see, I would have a collective of chamber musicians that would present concerts every week or two, and we would have a space that could seat a certain number of people who would pay for the occasion. It would sit anywhere from 200-250 people, ideally. This is something that could grow into a very profitable endeavor and one that is long-lasting. Amen.

Have also thought that I could find some investors in this idea. But, I feel I would be happier if I did it myself with whatever resources I can muster along the way.

Who knows what will come? But this sounds like a good idea.

Also, I am considering starting another side business that involves the making of art cards for other artists that could use my affordable services to their advantage. Amen.

This might ring a bell for you, as most of you know that I have made cards for my own art in the past. Ah, I recently took down the page that advertised my cards, because I wasn’t convinced it would ever be a profitable endeavor, or one that I would ever take seriously. Amen. But, now I am considering having artists as my clients. This idea came within the last few weeks and I was totally stoked when it came. I mean, how cool to work for other artists and call them clients. Amen. How cool is that? Haha.

Anything else?

Ah, I will be playing at AOP today. If you have time, come by and check it out. Mardi Gras is going on in Galveston, so that could be two reasons to come by the gallery I play and show my art in. Amen.

In the future, if you would like to hear me play, you can always reach out to me with the “Contact” page of this site and we can schedule a time for a listening. This way, you can be sure that I will be there and you can also be with me to view my art.

Thanks for being there in any way you have.

Love and Peace,

Travis Galbraith
