TOday AGain…
Hello everyone. I hope this post finds you feeling well and in a happy spirit. I, for one, am feeling well. Thank you. Amen.
I am writing today in a therapeutic approach. I don’t really know what I’m going to say, but feel that I do in fact have something to say. That said, let’s get to it. Amen.
For the past week-and-a-half, I have been making art almost everyday. I completed a very large piece (36”x48”) entitled Heart, which you may have seen in my recent social media posts. It is a really cool piece that I am very happy with. I will be putting it in the gallery in Galveston where I show my art. Hopefully, it will find a beautiful home to reside in. That is my dream.
Ah, I haven’t really been doing much playing of music lately, within the past two weeks. I’m not sure how to feel about that. Maybe it will always be a side-thing now that art has been given such focus. I do enjoy playing the violin in the gallery, but I’m not sure what will come of it. I had an idea to advertise for lessons while playing, have yet to do that though.
Also, this website will hopefully be reaching more people in the coming months. It will be a focal point for people to come to learn about the many facets of creativity I enjoy. Hopefully I will be selling more cards and art, and also getting the word out about lessons for violin and viola.
That said, I feel good about where I am. It has taken me longer than most to figure things out. But, I feel like I figure things out daily, staying present in the moment, ready to be moved by the spirit. Amen.
Ah, many people have that “nose-to-the-grindstone” mentality. Which is fine. I do not. I couldn’t tell you where I will be in six months. But, instead, am happy to tell you where I am today. Amen. There have been many times that I have tried to plan ahead, but changed my mind about what I truly wanted. So, I have figured that that approach, planning too far ahead will not work for me. I love making art and music, amen.
Ah, I have been invited to the PVA reunion activities this week. PVA, for those of you who don’t know, is short for the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where I graduated from in Houston in the year 2000. I will most likely be attending the festivities, which include a tour of the new campus in Houston and a hang-out session at a restaurant we all love in the Houston Heights, where I’m from. It should be fun and interesting to see and catch up with all who attend. Amen. I loved that school and everyone in it. Awesome experience. Looking forward to the weekend. Amen.
Anyway, have a blessed day and I look forward to hearing form anyone who has anything to say in my direction.
Peace and love,
Travis
